Ironhide and his gang have taken the castle. They've filled every floor with traps and locked the real knights in the cellar. I'm trapped at the top of the tower.
You are all I have left. Yes, I know what happened with the swords. Bring your shields.
The Monarch

Dev mode: start on floor
- Walk to aim. Your shield always faces the way you are moving.
- Reflect. Shots that hit it head-on fly back at the shooter. Catch them at an angle and they glance off at an angle.
- Knock back. When a melee hit lands on your shield, you both get thrown back. Line enemies up with a pit or spikes first.
- Keep a shield. Every block wears it down. Fallen enemies drop shards and hearts, and if it breaks a spare drops nearby.
- Climb the castle. Rooms lock until everything inside is beaten. Clear them all, then take the stairs up. Ironhide guards every third floor, and the Monarch is held in the throne room on floor 9.
- Push. Lean on a statue or barrel to slide it one square. Statues fill pits, and anything heavy holds a button down.
- Special. Double-tap anywhere (Space on a keyboard) when the gold ring is full.
